Condition (used): poor/barely fair for age  (see below) - some minor edge/corner wear, general wear, discolouration and grubbiness to the cover and external spine with slight damage to the spine (10cm split to the leather - internal binding largely intact), paper separation at various points in the book (internal binding largely intact), pencil name to flyleaf "Henry Bray Born 5th November 1874 Nelson" some loose and detached pages (279 - 82 & plate, plate at 308, 319/20 & plate, plate at 338), otherwise marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally poor/barely fair with moderate tanning, occasional foxing and frequent moderate grubbiness throughout.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "London: Bickers & Son 1 Leicester Square 1889".

Other information: hardback without dust jacket - "A Narrative Of The Voyages Round The World Performed By Captain James Cook With An Account Of His Life, During The Previous And Intervening Periods By A Kippis DD FRS and SA With Twelve Illustrations Reproduced In Exact Facsimile From Drawings Made During The Voyages" - very interesting and rare old book with bw frontispiece and various bw plates - may be of some interest to a collector.
