Condition (used):  fair for age (see below) - no dust jackets, the covers/spines have some fairly minor edge/corner wear and general fairly light wear/marks/grubbiness/discolouration including a few grubby marks, some of the end pages and flyleaves have some heavy foxing, some of the frontispiece and plate tissues have some moderate foxing, otherwise the books are quite good with light marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally good with light tanning throughout and occasional light foxing.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Cassell and Company Limited London Paris & Melbourne All Rights Reserved".

Other information: hardbacks without dust jacket - a very interesting and very rare Special Edition (This Edition, being specially prepared for Subscription, is not obtainable through the general Booksellers, Cassell & Company Limited ) set with period b/w illustrations and and colour plates - "Cassell's Book of the Household a Work of Reference on Domestic Economy Volume (I II III IV) Special Edition With Colour Plates" - may be of some interest to a collector.

Excellent:  Near mint to mint condition.
