Condition (used):  fair/good for age  (see below) - some very minor edge/corner wear, light marks/grubbiness to the cover and external, some fairly minor sticker damage to flyleaf, heavy discolouration/tanning to flyleaf and end page, otherwise fairly minor marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally good with moderate tanning throughout and occasional foxing - the colour plates are good.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Blackie & Son".

Other information: hardback without dust jacket - really interesting old book with many beautiful b/w illustrations and colour plates - "Vere Foster's Water-Colour Series Lessons In The Art Of Illuminating A Series Of Examples Selected from Works In The British Museum Lambeth Palace Library And The South Kensington Museum With Practical Instructions And A Sketch Of The History Of The Art By WJ Loftie BA FSA (1839 - 1911)" - may be of some interest to a collector.
