Condition (used): fair for age  (see below) - fairly minor edge/corner wear, general wear, discolouration and grubbiness to the cover and external spine, heavy discolouration to flyleaf and end page, otherwise marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally fair with light tanning and occasional light grubbiness throughout.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Second Edition ......London: George Newnes Ltd ...1895".

Other information: hardback without dust jacket - very interesting and rare old book with bw frontispiece and illustrations - may be of some interest to a collector.
