Condition (used): barely fair/fair for age (see below) - no dust jackets, the covers/spines have some edge/corner wear and general moderate to heavy wear/marks/grubbiness/discolouration including some damage along the spine edges and tops and bottoms, Vol I has paper separation between the front cover and flyleaf and to a lesser extent at the back cover with some associated looseness to the internal binding, Vol II is the same but to a more significant extent with the flyleaf and Queen Victoria frontispiece detached, the plate tissue in both volumes are loose but these may not be original and if they were, may not have been attached, otherwise the books are quite good with fairly light marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally good with light tanning throughout and occasional light foxing, more significant in the end pages.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Llundain (London) William MacKenzie 22 Paternoster Row".

Other information: hardbacks without dust jacket - a very interesting and very rare set in two volumes in the Welsh Language with period b/w illustrations, maps, charts, plates etc, some pull-out - "Hanes Y Brytaniaid  A'r Cymry Gan Gweirydd Ap Rhys" (A History of the British and Welsh by Gweirydd Ap Rhys  - PRYSE , ROBERT JOHN [Gweirydd ap Rhys ; 1807 - 1889]) - may be of some interest to a collector.
