Condition (used):  fair/good for age  (see below) - the dust jacket is uncut (7s 6d net) has a protective plastic layer, is somewhat worn with some edge/corner wear/general wear/grubbiness/discolouration (particularly to the spine area), the cover/spine has minor edge/corner wear, and general light wear including a crease running down the spine and some light discolouration to one corner, there are bands of heavy tanning to flyleaf and end page, otherwise good with light marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally good with very light tanning throughout.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "MacMillan and Co Ltd St Martin's Street London 1947".

Other information: hardback with dust jacket - quite rare book and believed to be a first edition - may be of some interest to a collector.
