Condition (used):  generally poor/barely fair for age  (see below) - no dust jacket, the cover/spine has some edge/corner wear and general wear/marks/grubbiness/discolouration including a damaged outer spine (partially missing and detached - slightly loose front cover), page separation between front cover and flyleaf, otherwise the book is fair with fairly light marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally good with very light tanning throughout.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "New York Alfred A Knopf MCMXVIII".

Other information: hardback without dust jacket -  a very rare book believed to be a first edition - may be of some interest to a collector.
