Condition (used):  fair for age (see below) - no dust jacket, the cover/spine has some very minor edge/corner wear and general very light wear/marks/grubbiness/discolouration, a boots retail sticker to inside cover and a small patch of sticker residue to the end page, otherwise the book is quite good with fairly light marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally good with very minor tanning throughout and occasional light foxing.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "First Published 1935".

Other information: hardback without dust jacket -  a fairly rare book and believed to be a first edition with attractive  b/w illustrations and a few colour plates by Violet Baring - may be of some interest to a collector.
Approximate dimensions:  22.5cm (length).

Approximate weight: 450g.
