Condition (unused): generally very good/excellent & fair for age in poor/barely fair box (see below) - sadly, due to inadequate storage three of the cups and two of the plates have some fine crazing, there is a certain amount of dustiness to the pieces and the box is very worn from long storage but it would seem quite clear that the set is unused.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Ironstone Broadhurst Staffordshire England A Kathie Winkle Design Handpainted Underglaze Colour I detergent and Dishwasher Proof Roulette" (on tea plate).

Other information: a very decorative retro tea set consisting of 6 tea plates, 6 tea cups and saucers,a stylish set in the Delta shape and Roulette pattern which we believe was designed in 1971 by Kathie Winkle . “Her first patterns appear around 1958 she ultimately became responsible for all of Broadhurst's patterns. Over the course of her career as a designer (until the mid-1970s) she created over 100 patterns. However as machine-decorating techniques began to take over from hand painting in the mid 1970s, Kathie Winkle stopped designing, her patterns slowly being phased out - although older designs continued in production. In 1978 she changed role in the company moving to quality control", we are not entirely sure of the exact age but would suggest circa 1971 - may be of some interest to a collector.
