Condition (used): fair for age (see below) - there are no chips, the transfer is good and it displays well but some parts of the white surface area are subject to crazing, in particular the interior, sadly a common problem with this product, the rubber seal is no longer fit for purpose and will need replacing,there are two, what look like, tape marks to the wood , otherwise minor marks commensurate with age and use.
Identifying marks or labels etc: white on russet oval mark "Magic City Designed by Susan Williams Ellis Portmeirion Pottery Stoke on Trent Made In England".
Other information: a very decorative retro item in the Magic City pattern fired in moulded earthenware with transfer-printed decoration in enamels, designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and made by Portmeirion Potteries Ltd, Stoke-on-Trent, launched 1966 - may be of some interest to a collector.
