Condition (used): generally good/ very good for age in fair box (see below) - sadly there are no instructions (other than on the lid of the box) or any contents list so we are uncertain as to the completeness of this set - this game includes the following elements: 1 plastic die; 1 plastic Monkey die; 8 plastic monkeys (2 each of red, blue, white and black); 9 plastic snakes in yellow; 1 card base; 1 plastic Gum Tree consisting of a base, 4 sides and a top; a number of paper stickers - the box is a little worn with some minor edge/corner wear, general light to moderate wear / marks / grubbiness / discolouration etc including 2 damaged corners and 1 rip on a side of the lid, several of the paper stickers have come away from their locations, otherwise the contents are very good with very minor marks commensurate with age and use.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "© 1989 Action Games and Toys Ltd....Made In England and Hong Kong".

Other information:  fantastic old game from Action Gt and now very rare, this set dates to (on or around) the copyright date of 1989 - "Up A Gum Tree - A game for monkeys! Throw the dice and move your monkey up the tree. Make use of the creepers, but watch out for the snakes! First to get their monkeys to the top wins the game. This game is essentially a 3D 'Snakes and Ladders' with a number of subtle changes; each player has two monkeys, both of which must reach the top of the tree to win, each player's section of the tree has two creepers (which are the 'ladders'), but most importantly the pair of snakes on your section of the tree can be moved! Each player races his own pair of monkeys up the tree whilst attempting to avoid the two patrolling snakes, should a monkey and a snake end up on the same space, the monkey falls and has to start the climb over again. On your turn you can roll the dice and either move one of your own monkeys, or any snake (either to clear a route for your own monkeys or attempt to knock an opponents monkey back to the start)."
