Condition (used):  fair/good for age (see below) - a few little nibbles to tip of left ear and brim of hat (see photo) - otherwise intact with some light wear commensurate with age and use.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  stamped "Foreign" to rear hoof.

Other information:  recently acquired as part of a large collection of colourful novelty ceramics - we are unsure as to the exact provenance but most pieces appear to date from around the 1930s to 50s and this one is probably Japanese in origin - we think that this may have been designed to house a candle (see photo) although we are not 100% sure - may be of some interest to a collector.

Approximate dimensions:   9cm (length); 8.5cm (height).

Approximate weight:  85g.
