Condition (used):  good/fair for age (see below) - his strings will need a bit of attention, knots ton the two green ones and the black is detached, his costume is a little grubby, otherwise minor marks commensurate with age and use.

Other information:  really nice Pelham puppet, we believe these simplified puppets were known as "Woodenhead" puppets and we think this is probably circa 1960s.

"The WH range is a very small range of simple puppets produced young children using just 3 strings. This was Pelham Puppets first attempt to a mass produced puppets which did not need the specialist painters to paint of their features. They were made in the same way as other junior puppets but the features were printed on the head using a modified paper printer. The hands were also simple disks of wood. These were first introduced in 1964 and went on till at least 1982"
