Condition (used): generally good for age in fair box (see below) - believed to be complete - this set includes the following: Telephone (red and yellow version), 5 newspapers, 54 Scoop cards, various sets of story cards: 10 General; 10 Crime; 10 Star; 10 Triple Star; 18 Adverts; 2 instruction sheets and a good quantity of Cheques - the box is a little worn with some fairly minor edge/corner wear, some compression and one damaged corner to the lid, the box also has general light marks/wear/grubbiness/discolouration, the instruction leaflets are a little worn with creases/folds and some light grubbiness, the cards have at some stage been held by an elastic band which has since perished leaving some slight staining to the back of one card and very slightly to the edges of some of the others, the flaps of some of the newspapers have some minor light foxing, otherwise the contents are good with minor marks commensurate with age and use.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Protected Under Pat Appn No.27029/53 Manufactured By John Waddington Ltd London & Leeds".

Other information:   fantastic old game which we believe to be one of the earliest manifestations of the game from about 1953, there was also a four player version in a different coloured (green/yellow) box  - may be of some interest to a collector - may be of some interest to a collector.
