Condition (used): poor/barely fair for age  (see below) - some minor edge/corner wear, general wear, discolouration, damage (detached front cover) and grubbiness to the cover and external spine, partially detached flyleaf and first page, pencil dedication to flyleaf, pencil inscription to first page, occasional ink entries throughout, otherwise marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally barely fair with moderate/light tanning, wear and light grubbiness throughout.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Second Edition ......London: George Newnes Ltd ...1895".

Other information: hardback without dust jacket - very interesting and incredibly rare old book with handwritten personal annotations  1869 - 1915 and some postage stamps to the back inside cover dated 12 May 1937- may be of some interest to a collector.
