Condition (used): fair for age (see below) - NB: JAR ONLY NO LID - there are no chips and it displays well but some parts of the white surface area are subject to crazing, in particular the interior, sadly a common problem with this product, there are also some fairly minor rubs to the transfer on one side, otherwise minor marks commensurate with age and use.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  white on russet oval mark "Magic City Designed by Susan Williams Ellis Portmeirion Pottery Stoke on Trent Made In England".

Other information: a very decorative and substantial retro item in the Magic City pattern fired in moulded earthenware with transfer-printed decoration in enamels, designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and made by Portmeirion Potteries Ltd, Stoke-on-Trent, launched 1966 - may be of some interest to a collector.

Approximate dimensions:     10.5cm (diameter) 16cm (height).
