Condition (used): good/very good for age (see below) - the tape on the back has largely come away and could do with replacing, otherwise very minor marks commensurate with age and use.
Identifying marks or labels etc: "The Find by H Alken (1810 - 1894)".
Other information: interesting and decorative item framed and glazed to a reasonably high standard with a wood frame, bordered mount and standard glass, we are uncertain as to the age of this piece but we would tentatively suggest circa 1950s - "Henry Thomas Alken (12 October 1785 – 7 April 1851) was an English painter and engraver chiefly known as a caricaturist and illustrator of sporting subjects and coaching scenes. His most prolific period of painting and drawing occurred between 1816 and 1831". Source: Wikipedia - may be of some interest to a collector.
