Condition (used):  fair/good for age (see below) - rather grubby (see photo) - no apparent major chips or cracks - otherwise intact with some general wear commensurate with age and use.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  stamped "Maruhon Ware - K - Made In Japan".

Other information:  recently acquired as part of a large collection of colourful novelty ceramics - we are unsure as to the exact provenance but most pieces appear to date from around the 1930s to 50s and these ones are Japanese in origin - possibly once part of a dressing table set - may be of some interest to a collector.

Approximate dimensions:   10.5cm (diameter); 4cm (height).

Approximate weight:  110g.
