Condition (used): fair for age (see below) -the extreior is generally very good, there are some patches of light crazing to the interior (lid & tureen) which have some associated light staining, otherwise very minor marks commensurate with age and use.
Identifying marks or labels etc: "Poole England Dishwasehr & Oven Proof".
Other information: attractive item which may be from or asociated with the 'Blue Moon' contour range in teal blue. It is believed that this colour was introduced by Robert Jefferson circa 1961 for the contour range of tableware. Jefferson was responsible largely for Studio and Delphis ranges, he was however, also a prolific designer of table and kitchen wares such as this. After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1954, he became resident designer at Poole in 1958. He left Poole Pottery in 1966. NB: we currently have 1 in stock.
